Chad Judkins is a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) at Purdue University. He works primarily on Old English Literature and Language, but has interests in History of the English Language, Middle English, and Old Norse. His current focus is on Alfredian studies and early Continental influence on England. He expects to finish his dissertation, on “King Alfred’s Literary Resources, Program of Legitimation, and Carolingian Influences,” in May of 2013,  under the direction of Shaun F. D. Hughes.

He currently teaches English literature and composition for Purdue University, and he has previously taught first and second-year undergraduate Latin.
